The real challenge lies not in choosing materials, but in creating a dialogue between aesthetic languages—how can Chinese stillness, French refinement, and Art Deco rhythm coexist in one space? We made many conscious choices of what to keep and what to let go. By opening up the living room, study, corridor, and stairwell, we formed a unified 'public stage' on the first floor. Then, through deliberate spatial transitions, we moved from French roundness into the restraint of the Chinese tea room—complementary, not competing.
